This is the sort of behaviour that plagues the pro-servers, its truly the most bizzare hateful experience I ever seen with the most garbage of humans who truly cannot be called humans at all.Īnd things that are said in these servers are truly atrocious, the most minor of mistakes you make makes you branded as a "sub" human, this atrocious behaviour is damaging and I see less and less people play HoI4 because of this, pro-servers themeslves are dying down because people no longer wants to play in them, then the hosts goes on mass banning people for simply not joining the game when its up, its completely ridicules. The Ireland player who had no navy of course to protect his little island against 20 divisions of paratroopers was of course quickly taken over and yeah, you can only imagine the horrors that then ensued in chat, he almost went to tears because the "elite" players kept abusing him and you were instabanned for even trying to defend him. These base dwelling psychos however on the other hand completely opposite, dedicate their life to this game like a religion, you know its very bad when 30 hour players who know it all cannot play UK and gets mad when Germany paratroops an ill defended Ireland and UK pulls out of Ireland for no apparent reasons. HoI4 pro-servers is a hornest nest for psychopaths as well, people who think they are better than anyone else, I am not the greatest player in the world because I have a job and a life.

Which brings me to the worst part, the skill level, remembering sets of meta strategies does not make you good in anything, it only makes you a robot that is good at doing this set of commands which literaly the "pro" community is, a bunch of robots who seem to be incapable of adapting to situation, I seen the most obnoxious elitists fall apart because they do not know how to adapt to changing situations in the game and then go on to scream and instaban whoever ruined their session. But the people in themselves are some of the worst human beings I ever met in my entire life, I could literally work in the most dangerous prison in America and probably not find anyone who would just beat them out in awfulness.Īnd the amount of Neo-Nazis in these pro-games are worrying, there racists in regular games sure but pro-servers have literally hateful Neo-Nazis as hosts or major approved who will dehumanise just about everyone who are not on their "skill" level.
Rules, vetting all sounds fine right? I do not particularly like to play majors in MP so this never bothered me.

Some pro servers allow anyone to play majors as long as they have over a thousand hours and been vetted. While "All Welcome" HoI4 games are usually 50/50 in being good, usually you play them for fun and casual however there is a MUCH darker side to HoI4.Īffter playing a handful in a good deal of "pro" servers in HoI4 which are basically Discord servers with 2 - 50 pages rules (yes, 50 pages) and with handful of "major" approved players and 90% rest being "minor" approved. I used to play a lot of HoI2 and Darkest Hour multiplayer mostly with European players which was good fun, never had a lot of issues in those and just by memory I could probably count over 500 MP games played over span of time.

I met people who FBI would probably profile as pedobears, serial killers or outright dangerous psychos by how they behave, act and talk.
It cannot be said enough that Hearts of Iron 4 multiplayer is the most bizzare multiplayer experience I ever had the displeasure to witness, in the 18 years I have been playing multiplayer HoI4 really takes the cake.
